Architecture Special
Neatly packed in one tour, capture the majesty and the reflections of modern and contemporary landmarks that define Milan's skyline.
During this Photo Tour, if you are not familiar with this style of shooting, you will learn the basics of architecture photography, the secrets of composing and the tricks to make the most out of urban landscape. We will look for atmosphere, design, geometry, light, and explore the spatial relationship between man and his habitat. We will also talk about reaching maximum sharpness, specific composing tricks and the many editing options this kind of photography invites to.
This Photo Tour begins in Porta Nuova: we will walk through an area where one side of the road used to be a reference point for modernity in the 50s, 60s and 70s, its buildings designed by standards of the past, while the other side of the road is today's gem in Milan's architectural scenario. The contrast with older buildings is striking.
This photo tour continues at Gio Ponti's Grattacielo Pirelli, the tallest concrete skyscraper in the world. There is an option to shoot the inside of Milan's Stazione Centrale (the train station) which is the most famous example of Liberty and Art Deco architecture form the Fascist era. Then we'll move towards the glass facades of Palazzo Lombardia and from there to Stefano Boeri's Bosco Verticale, a true vertical forest in the heart of the city.
This Photo Tour will end in Piazza Gae Aulenti: a new piazza in the heart of Milan which sits at the heart of the Porta Nuova Garibaldi development where you can relax in a cozy bistrot facing the square, then take full advantage of the blue hour.
Book this tour any Sunday and we will take you to the Belvedere at the top of Palazzo Lombardia building (not available in August).
