Milan by Night
A night photography workshop with our professional photographers:
learn the secrets of low light shooting in the most photogenic locations in Milan.
Night photography can be tricky, but during this photo tour we will show you how to do it properly: beginning before sunset in the business area of Porta Nuova, where we will explore reflections of Milan’s skyline and we will wait for blue hour, working with juxtaposition of artificial and natural light and playing with light trails.
Once darkness falls we will go to the the now uncrowded Piazza del Duomo to shoot the amazing contrast between white marbles and dark skies. The buildings in the area offer an incredible backdrop for night photography.
As an alternative, if you favor a more lively area, we will head into Navigli district to photograph the beautiful renovated Darsena (Milan’s old port) and surrounding canals. At the end of the photo tour you can also stop for a deserved drink in one of the many cafes and pubs of the area.
To enjoy the best night views of Milan, in this photo tour we will use public transport between locations.

Additional guest: 90€ (inquire us for larger groups)Recommended gear: a tripod (if you don’t have one, we can provide), a camera with a wide angle and a telephoto lens for skylines. A fast prime might be useful for night reportage. T/S lenses and filters are an awesome plus.
* Photo editing session option: if you want to make the most out of your photo tour, you can book one additional hour with our professional photographers for a session of photo reviewing and editing after your photo tour. We will sit together in front of a laptop, discussing your work and retouching your best shots with Photoshop Lightroom.
